This is the caterpillar responsible for attacking the Commersonia bartramia. It grows to about 30mm in length and when fully grown pupates in a weak cocoon formed by tying two leaves together with silk. The adult moth is brown, about 25mm long, with a wingspan of about 40 mm. There is a small white dot on each forewing.
