Cayratia clematidea

Cayratia clematideaFamily: Vitaceae
Genus: Cayratia
Common name: Slender grape
ALA reference

This is a weak climber that has appeared sporadically across the Reserve over the years but I have never seen it reach maturity before. Following the excellent winter and spring rains it is now very common and many of the plants have started to flower. The flowers are followed by clusters of small berries that turn black when ripe, resembling bunches of small grapes. (November 2010)
