Macleay’s Swallowtail

Macleay's SwallowtailGenus: Graphium
Species: Graphium macleayanum
Common names: Macleay’s Swallowtail
ALA reference

The caterpillars feed on a variety of trees including sassafras, peppers and laurels. Its most likely local host trees are Cinnamomum camphora (Camphor Laurel), Cinnamomun verum (Cinnamon) and Cryptocarya triplinervis (Three veined Cryptocarya). I have checked these possible trees but have not found any caterpillars yet. The caterpillars are green, with a humped thorax and forked tail.
