Transverse Moth

Transverse Moth CaterpillarGenus: Xanthodes
Species: Xanthodes transversa
Common names: Transverse Moth
ALA reference

I found this caterpillar feeding on a small Hibiscus heterophyllus seedling which appears to be a primary host plant for the species. When mature, the caterpillars pupate in the soil and the moth hatches after a couple of weeks. The Transverse moth is yellow in colour with brown arrow shaped lines across the forewings.
