Youngia japonica

Youngia japonicaFamily: Asteraceae
Genus: Youngia
Common names: Oriental False Hawksbeard, Native Hawksbeard
ALA reference

This species is native to eastern Asia and Australia but is now widespread throughout the world. It is often considered a weed, particularly in plant nurseries, because it seeds prolifically and spreads rapidly. Nevertheless it is a delightful looking little daisy and should do well in the Reserve. (November 2008)
